Part two of the handbook. One card per feature, written as the file the police keep on you, or the file the family keeps on the city. This is where the exact rules and formulas live. Every number comes straight from the game.

Mastery
What it is
Practice makes perfect, and the street pays for it. Every job tracks how often it succeeded. At fixed counts you get a one-time cash bonus. Soft prestige keeps the counter.

Street tab, on the job card.
How it works
The thresholds sit at 5, 10, 25, 50, 75 and 100 successes.
At those thresholds you get a one-time $150, $350, $1,100, $2,600, $3,800 and $5,500, in that order.
Costs, returns and limits
Mastery also raises your success chance: 0.25% per successful attempt of that crime, up to 20% (see Crimes).
