Informant
What it is
A friend at the precinct is worth gold. The informant takes heat off and gives you a shield: while it runs, you can't get busted on crimes.

Services. From rank Associate.
How it works
The price is $180 plus $9 per point of heat you carry, always between $300 and $3,500.
Your heat drops by 48. The shield lasts 14 minutes.
Then you wait 12 minutes.
Worked example: at 70 heat the informant costs $180 plus 70 times $9, within the limits.
Costs, returns and limits
You pay with street cash. Only useful when you have heat. Closed in the hospital.
